Lovely hike that enjoys the busy peaks and a quiet valley with a waterfall to relax by on the way back to the car. Its not difficult but its a full days walking with a couple of steep/tricky bits.

I did this walk and am not convinced it's a good one. The first and last part of it do not follow any trails. You have to cross quite a few stream which i think could be a bit too wide on a rainy day. Around the streams, there are also a lot of holes that are covered by tall grass, you could easily put a foot in an snap an ankle. I'd recommend sticking to the trails or choosing another route.

The forecast predicted fine weather for Saturday (9th Oct.) ... well at least it didn't rain! Cloud base was at ~500m and visibility down to ~5m but this did not spoil an enjoyable walk for myself and three friends. Starting out from the car park at Cwm Gwdi we took a clockwise route around Alt Dhu, up the valley past the waterfalls, up to Cribyn and then the return leg via Pen-y-fan, Corn Du and past the lake. We missed out on the views from the top but had a great day none the less (~5 1/2 hours in total including breaks).
