NWR 3 is a well-marked, transparent, open trail that goes south from the launch, then turns west toward the Marsh Trail, and then north toward the tower on the Marsh Trail, so, of course, that's not a challenge. Partway on the northern leg, Mac found a cut over toward the Marsh Trail, so naturally, we took it to see if it was open. We then worked our way north to the tower and headed east toward the Sun for the last leg.
That only took about 90 minutes because we didn't make any wrong turns and found the cuts easily, so we decided to do a little exploring to the west along the road. Water, water everywhere, makes for a fun paddle.
