Confluence area: One of several versions of the Clementine Loop Trail. This version does not include the Culvert trail under Foresthill Road and thus requires crossing that street. This trail is very popular with mountain bicycle enthusiasts and thus hikers must be very alert to downhill racers esp on the section near the middle fork of the Am. River

This is a heart pumper but definitely a great hike in the ASRA. The trail is easy to follow and well-worn by hikers & bikers (don't go on the weekends or during the summer as you might be plowed down by bikers!).
I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND adding on the steep downhill (therefore, uphill) hike to Lake Clementine dam. They've installed a bench now and it's a great place to experience the waterfalls & have a bite to eat!
