A tough bushwhack starting from the Eagle Creek Trail and leading to Tanner Butte. The section from the rarely visited Opal Creek waterfalls and onto the ridge is a very strenuous bushwhack with dense vegetation. The crossings of a couple of avalanche gullies are close to desperate.
